Cardona Translations was founded by Esperanza Egan (Esperanza Cardona Serrano). Originally from Colombia, Esperanza has resided in Australia for over 18 years. She is a translator and interpreter accredited by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Justice in Colombia and by NAATI in Australia. Esperanza worked in Colombia for 10 years providing translation and simultaneous interpreting services to private companies, including the Royal Dutch Shell Group. Since then Cardona Translations have provided their translation and interpreting services for court, legal and medical proceedings and at over 30 international conferences including the 2006 G20 Summit, Earth Dialogues and United Nations meetings in Australia and overseas. Esperanza is also on the panel of Spanish court intepreters for the NSW Department of Attorney General and Justice.
